Sanctuary is situated in Southern Maine on the coast of Casco Bay, it is a modern world alot like ours. The only difference being that magic and supernatural creatures are an accepted fact of life. Vampires, werecreatures, mages, witches, psychics and all sorts of otherworldly people are active members of the community as well as normal humans. Their interaction with one another is the force behind the stories the writers weave.
